ETI Soda

Eti Soda was established in 1998 with the purpose of extracting, processing and introducing to the economy the trona mine reserves.

Eti Soda has a partnership structure composed of the 74 % of the shares of the WE SODA that is a leading organization in the mining energy and media sectors in Turkey and 26 % of the shares of Eti Mine Works Inc., which is a state-owned organization.

Trona ore found in the Beypazari district of Ankara is extracted using the solution mining, which is a safe and environment friendly operating method. The trona solution, which goes through the monohydrate process in production facilities, is transformed into Dense Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) and Sodium Bicarbonate products.

In Eti Soda, 1.5 million tons of Dense Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) and 200,000 tons of Sodium Bicarbonate is produced annualy.
